Respond, React, Re-impress: Five Minutes in Action

About

Works from the MCA collection serve as a springboard for this workshop that introduces and explores the five-minute curriculum—a technique for generating relevant and engaging curriculum possibilities. Artists and teachers Nathan Diamond and Cheryl Pope lead teachers on a tour of the MCA with an eye toward classroom application. Educators engage in guided discussion while viewing exhibitions to develop a series of five-minute concepts. This collaborative workshop provides educators with a wealth of ideas that are rich in curricular connections.

MCA teacher programs are free for Illinois teachers. Participants receive CPDUs. Vouchers for free parking in the MCA garage are provided pending availability.

Pre-registration is required. Call 312-397-3838 or email teacherprograms@mcachicago.org.
