Rebecca Keller's work in The Way of the Shovel focuses on Sigmund Freud's couch and kilim (a flat, tapestry-woven rug or covering). In her conversation with Nancy Burke, psychoanalyst and associate professor of clinical psychiatry at Northwestern University, Keller discusses how Freud is understood and referenced in culture at large as well as in relation to the works on view in the gallery space.
